On completing the course new mediators can join one of the family mediation Membership Organisations and register with the Family Mediation Council. The membership organisations' subscriptions currently vary from £100 to £200, and the fee for registration with the Family Mediation Council is £55 per annum (2018) for those working towards accreditation. Professional Indemnity insurance for new mediators is available at a cost of approximately £100 per annum and Professional Practice Consultant’s fees vary but most charge between £80 and £120 per hour (plus vat if applicable).
We will spend a session during the last day of the course discussing next steps after the Foundation Training.
